Sparklewhite Teeth is a successfully growing business across New Zealand originating in Christchurch in 2009 by Matt and Charmaine McFarlane.  The couple added cosmetic teeth whitening to their services at their day spa in the Gold coast, and then brought the idea home to NZ and decided to give it the convenience factor of a mobile service.

It is the most required cosmetic procedure on the market and is now a multi-billion dollar industry.

Taranaki born and bred, Diana Brown bought the business after her husband found the license opportunity online. One of 20 Sparklewhite Teeth licenses in New Zealand, Diana is celebrating her second birthday in business.

Diana is a true local. She went to New Plymouth Girls High School, completed the comprehensive nursing course at Taranaki Polytechnic (now WITT), and started work at Base Hospital before travelling. She was a nurse for six years before having her family. During this time, Diana was a community exercise instructor three mornings a week, and after six - seven years, decided she needed a change. She was particularly interested in owning her own business.

When her husband found Sparklewhite Teeth online, Diana jumped at the chance and flew to Christchurch for training. Since then, she has completed the New Zealand Cosmetic Teeth Whitening Association training in Auckland.

Sparklewhite Teeth New Plymouth is a home based business, meaning that you can relax in Diana's home, or yours. She drives Taranaki-wide for bookings of three or more at one location. When there are bookings in Hawera, she operates from 'Glow Beauty' premises.

In two years, Diana has over 450 clients and says its becoming a popular service in Taranaki. "More and more people are beginning to see the availability and affordability of teeth whitening. We just don't provide the dental work. That's why it's a cosmetic service; it is not a clinical environment" she says.

The comfort of a clients home, or at Diana's residence where there is nothing but tranquil peace and quiet, lets the experience be a relaxing one. The process for a new client is usually a 40 or 60 minute procedure depending on the colour of the teeth to start with. You can take home a kit to maintain your pearly whites, or come back for 20 minute treatments to maintain the new clean shade.
