Weddings can be filled with diamonds and ribbons, flowers, cakes, music and dancing. But the most important factor of a wedding – what it takes to really make a marriage – not just a wedding - is Love.  We were recently contacted by Hina Tutaki who asked us if we would share her parents beautiful wedding story. We were more than happy to oblige.

On the 24th of July 2014 – Teresa Waitere of Waitara, Taranaki finally said “I do” to her life partner of 38 Years – Martin Tutaki. They have 7 Children, 34 Grand-children and even 5 Great Grand-children together. This beautiful and special event took place at Te  Rangimarie Hospice in Taranaki.

After spending more than half a life time together it was Martins dying wish to marry his lifetime partner, and the mother of his children. They did so in plain clothes in the presence of their loved ones.

Martin Tutaki sadly passed away just 20 days later on the 13th of August 2014.

Hina Tutaki wants to share her parents real love story to show that you need not have all the flash things in life – as long as you have your family and friends on your wedding day – with God – anything is possible.

After losing his wife to cancer Harry Cast offers his services as a photographer for free to patients at Te Rangimarie Hospice, Taranaki. The service was provided by Hospital Chaplin – Murray Elliot.

Taranaki Weddings wants to thank Hina for sharing this story and the beautiful and intimate photos of her families’ very special day.
