Here’s your chance to let them know how awesome you think they are!

After a few years off, and in celebration of Ten Years since they were first launched, we are so excited to be bringing back the Taranaki Wedding Industry Awards! You can nominate ANY business in the Taranaki Region that you feel deserves to be recognised, voted for and awarded for their hard work and efforts – not just the businesses you see listed on our website – but any business or service provider across the region.

In order for your nomination to be valid your wedding or event MUST have taken place between 1st April 2022 and 31st March 2026 and you must personally have engaged their services for your own wedding or event. Nominations received by businesses on behalf of Brides and Grooms are not valid. All nominations will be verified for authenticity.

All we ask is that you provide us with a few basic details and a supporting document that proves that you have used their business or service for your wedding (see below for information on what constitutes a supporting document). Nominations will close at noon on Sunday 31st May 2026.

Vendors will be advised of their nominations on Wednesday 3rd June 2026 and will be given 24 hours to “opt out” if they do not wish to participate.

Public voting will then open on Friday 5th June 2026. A list of any businesses who chose to OPT out will be published on our Facebook Page at that time. Public Voting will close on Friday 31st of July.

An announcement will be made over the coming months on when and where our Awards Gala will be held.

What constitutes a supporting document? Anything that PROVES that you have used a businesses product or service. A copy of a receipt, invoice or contract, screenshot of a social media post (naming both the business and the person nominating them) etc. Watermarked photographs will be accepted for nominations for Photographers ONLY. A photograph of a bridal bouquet, gown, food etc with no reference to the supplier does not constitute a supporting document and as such will not be accepted. If you have any doubt regarding your supporting document - please feel free to contact us prior to submitting your nomination. Nominations will NOT be accepted without a valid supporting document and duplicate nominations will be deleted.
